South Pine River flows from the foothills of Mount Glorious, north-west of Brisbane City, to its convergence with North Pine River at Lawnton, Queensland Australia.

Course

From the foothills, South Pine River runs through Samford before snaking through the outer North Western Suburbs of Brisbane where it divides the suburbs of Eatons Hill and Brendale to the north and Albany Creek to the south. In this area it is joined by its major tributary Dawson Creek, which flows off the D'Aguilar Range.[1]

Meeting with Albany Creek in the suburb of the same name, it carries the city council boundary between the Moreton Bay Regional Council and the Brisbane City Council down to its convergence with North Pine River at Lawnton to form Pine River.

To the north-west of South Pine River are Pine Rivers suburbs of Strathpine and Lawnton, while on the south-east are Brisbane City Council suburbs Bridgeman Downs and Bald Hills.
